  2. Notify a relative\/friend of your departure and return dates<\/li>\n
  3. Plan your trip properly.<\/li>\n
  4. Never go alone<\/li>\n
  5. Master basic paddling techniques or have a Pleasure Craft Operator Card (motorized watercraft).<\/li>\n
  6. Know and respect your paddling limits.<\/li>\n
  7. Bring a first aid kit.<\/li>\n
  8. In case of emergency, call 819 278 5402 or 911<\/li>\n
  9. Have with you the equipment required by Transport Canada regulations.<\/li>\n
  10. Wear your personal flotation device (PFD).<\/li>\n
  11. In case of hazardous weather conditions (high winds, heavy precipitation, storms). Do not go out on the water. If you are on the water, head to shore for safety.<\/li>\n
  12. Stay in groups (when applicable) and be aware of other water users (canoe\/kayak, motorized boats, sailboats, personal watercraft, etc).<\/li>\n
  13. Never cook in your tent and never keep food, toothpaste or gum.<\/li>\n
  14. Hang food, garbage, and any odorous products 3 meters high and 2 meters from the trunk of a tree or place them in clean, watertight barrels away from your tent.<\/li>\n
  15.
